The Andalusian capital is transforming into a major tourist attraction this week, coinciding with the celebration of the April Fair. The Port of Seville is scheduled to receive three cruise ships, highlighting the city's growing appeal as an international destination, especially during its significant festive dates.
The first to arrive was the Hanseatic Nature, which docked last Sunday at the Tablada Dock. This vessel, with a capacity for 230 passengers and a crew of 175, extended its stay until Tuesday of the Fair, allowing its occupants to fully immerse themselves in the city's festive atmosphere.
Activity continued on Monday with the arrival of the Clio, coinciding with the traditional Lunes del Pescaíto. This smaller cruise ship is a frequent visitor to the Seville port and carried 90 passengers. Its stay was extended until Wednesday, offering a more comprehensive experience of the Fair.
The third scheduled vessel is the Evrima, expected to arrive on Saturday, April 25. This luxury cruise ship, operated by the Ritz-Carlton company, measures 190 meters in length and can accommodate nearly 300 passengers, reinforcing the commitment to high-end tourism in the city.
In addition to these calls, six yachts have arrived at the Muelle de las Delicias, significantly increasing movement in the port facilities. Furthermore, the Azamara Quest remained docked in Tablada during the weekend preceding the Fair, serving as a prelude to this busy week of activity.
The cruise season in Seville, which began on February 26 with the Azamara Journey and will run until December 29 with the call of the Vidanta World’s Elegant, projects around 90 calls for 2026. Four of the scheduled cruises will visit Seville for the first time, and the shipping company Scenic will strengthen its presence on May 9, when its two flagship vessels, the Scenic Eclipse I and the Scenic Eclipse II, will coincide in port for an unprecedented joint call.
