A report by the Local Police of Seville has unveiled the delicate situation experienced last Holy Saturday in the Carrera Oficial, where the procession of the Hermandad del Santo Entierro created moments of tension that could have led to public order disturbances.

The document, prepared by the inspector leading the operation, points to the intersection of Alemanes and García de Vinuesa streets as the focal point of the incidents. At this location, one of the most frequented, the brotherhood's procession came to a halt after a prior delay, causing a significant crowd buildup.

Once the access to the corridors was cut off, the brotherhood's procession literally stopped.

The uncertainty surrounding the situation led to tense moments. According to the police account, the available space became completely full, and some individuals began to verbally abuse the officers, necessitating intervention to prevent further issues. Given the escalating situation, officers requested additional support and established a control perimeter to prevent more public entry.
During these critical moments, two individuals were removed due to their behavior, as they continued to verbally abuse officers and incite the rest of the public. Both were subsequently identified for potential sanctions.
The report also highlights a serious incident involving the Duelo float, when the inspector observed the foreman stopping the float in a way that blocked an evacuation corridor, an action deemed high-risk. Furthermore, a member of the brotherhood was noted for disobedience, having disregarded instructions, and was consequently proposed for sanction.
Finally, after reviewing recordings, the Local Police refutes the brotherhood's criticisms, asserting that “at no time was there an agitated or aggressive attitude towards the members of the brotherhood” and emphasizing that their intervention was necessary to ensure safety during a period of maximum attendance.
