The province of Cordoba witnessed the highest temperatures in the country on this first day of August. Montoro stood out as the hottest locality, reaching 43 degrees at 4:00 PM, according to data from the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).
Close behind is La Rambla, which registered 42.6 degrees at the same time, ranking as the third hottest city of the day. Only Carrión de los Céspedes (Seville) surpassed this figure with 42.7 degrees.
Cordoba capital is also among the ten hottest cities, ranking eighth. The Aemet observatory at the Prágdena reservoir recorded a maximum of 42.2 degrees at 5:30 PM.
