The exams, which began at 7:30 AM, are taking place at the academy owned by the Armed Institute in the Jaén municipality. This location is one of 20 designated nationwide for this initial phase and hosts applicants from the provinces of Ciudad Real, Córdoba, Albacete, and Jaén.
Nationally, approximately 27,000 applicants are estimated to be participating in this selection process, according to data provided by the Guardia Civil. The process is structured as a competitive examination, where professional and academic merits, already evaluated in the preliminary phase, are added to the scores obtained in the main examination phase.
The main examination phase includes various tests: theoretical-practical knowledge (spelling, grammar, general knowledge, and English), psychotechnical tests (intellectual aptitudes and personality tests), and psychophysical aptitude (physical tests, personal interview, and medical examination). The theoretical-practical knowledge and intellectual aptitude tests were conducted previously at the various venues.
Candidates selected in these initial tests will proceed to the remaining examinations. Those who successfully complete the entire process are scheduled to join the academy to begin their training on October 13th.
