Las Cabezas de San Juan is preparing to revive its successful Water Festival on Thursday, August 20th, transforming its streets into a free water park with a large slide as the main attraction.

The Sevillian town of Las Cabezas de San Juan is organizing its unique Water Festival for the second consecutive year. The event will take place on Thursday, August 20th, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The main highlight will once again be the super water slide, which last year attracted hundreds of children and teenagers.
The streets of the City of Liberties will be turned into an open-air, free water park. The sliding toboggan will be set up on the central and sloped Rabadanes street, ending in the Plaza de los Mártires. This initiative aims to promote family enjoyment and citizen coexistence.
According to confirmation from the City Council, the day will also include inflatable water attractions, a foam party, games, and music. Activities will take place around Rabadanes street, the Plaza de los Mártires, and the Plaza de la Mujer Trabajadora. The only requirement to participate is to wear swimwear, flip-flops, and "lots of desire to have fun."
The council hopes to repeat the success of the previous summer, when the festival drew numerous residents and the water slide garnered significant media attention.
In addition to this special event, Las Cabezas de San Juan offers a free water park during the summer at the Parque Abogados de Atocha, known as the Parque de los Chorritos. This area, inaugurated on July 3rd, features water jets, buckets, and artificial rain, and is open from Wednesday to Monday, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM, with maintenance on Tuesdays.
The City Council advises responsible use of the facilities, the use of aquatic footwear, and supervision of children under three years of age by an adult. Food and drinks are not permitted in the play areas.
Recently, on July 20th, another water park was inaugurated in the Parque Juan Bernabé Britto, following an investment of 825,000 euros which included a new kiosk, children's playground, and green areas.
The municipal swimming pools complete the summer leisure offerings, open from Tuesday to Sunday between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Daily entrance fees are €2.30 for adults and €1.70 for children under 14 on weekdays, and €3.50 and €2.50 respectively on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Season passes and bundles are also available.
