The town of La Línea in Cádiz, already preparing for the European Championship of the discipline in September, will become the venue for the Andalusian beach sprint rowing championship this Saturday. The competition will take place on Poniente beach, a location that has previously hosted significant rowing events.
The event will bring together a total of 81 athletes from seven clubs hailing from the provinces of Cádiz, Sevilla, and Málaga. Among the participants are the Club de Remo Linense, CR Algeciras, CR Barbate, CD Remeros y Piragüistas Veteranos de Sevilla, Club Náutico Sevilla, and Real Club Mediterráneo de Málaga.
The championship, featuring categories for cadet, junior, absolute, veteran, and adaptive athletes, will be contested in solo, double, and four-person boat categories, for men, women, and mixed crews, awarding a total of 15 titles.
The day will commence at 9:00 AM with the time trials qualifying round. The first elimination rounds, starting from the quarterfinals, are scheduled from 11:05 AM. Semifinals and finals will take place between 11:43 AM and 5:16 PM, concluding with the medal ceremony.
