This operation, which will last several days, will lead to traffic disruptions, including temporary closures, detours, and the removal of parking spaces in affected areas. The primary goal is to reduce vehicle speeds, particularly in residential zones and areas with high pedestrian traffic.
The works will be carried out on various roads located in different city neighborhoods. Among the streets where speed bumps will be installed are Cristo de la Yedra, José María Buguella de Toro, Rodrigo de Triana, José María Miranda Serrano, Fray Juan Sánchez Cotán, Pedro Machuca, Molino Nuevo, Escritor Fernández de Castro, Avenida de Argentinita, Halcón, Alondra, Avenida de las Alpujarras, Padre Marcelino Álvarez, Eudoxia Piriz, and Padre Francisco Palau y Quer.
Interventions will also take place at specific intersections, such as those of Domínguez Ortiz with Sebastián de la Gomera and with La Palmita, where a significant portion of the new speed reducers will be concentrated. The distribution of the speed bumps will be at strategic points, prioritizing areas near educational centers and high-traffic zones.
“"The City Council aims to advance towards a safer mobility model, where speed reduction is key to decreasing risks and improving coexistence between vehicles and pedestrians on Granada's streets."
The installation of the speed bumps will be carried out in stages. On Monday, April 20, work will be done on José María Buguella, Rodrigo de Triana, José María Miranda Serrano, and Cristo de la Yedra. On Tuesday, April 21, on Fray Juan Sánchez Cotán, Pedro Machuca, and Molino Nuevo. On Wednesday, April 22, on Domínguez Ortiz. On Thursday, April 23, on Escritor Fernández de Castro, Avenida de Argentinita, Halcón, and Alondra. On Friday, April 24, on Avenida de las Alpujarras and Padre Marcelino. Finally, on Monday, April 27, on Padre Francisco Palau y Quer and Eudoxia Piriz.

Drivers are advised to exercise extreme caution and plan their journeys, and public transport users should be aware of potential route or stop modifications.
