An electrical transformer fire on Rioja Street in Seville prompted the evacuation of several buildings and commercial establishments by Local Police and Firefighters, causing alarm among residents.

The incident began this afternoon when an electrical transformer located at street level, next to the Santo Ángel Church, started to emit explosions shortly after 3:00 PM. This event caused concern among the area's residents and passersby.
In response, Seville Local Police quickly cordoned off the area and proceeded with the evacuation of adjacent shops and buildings. Businesses were also instructed to switch off two electrical differentials around 3:30 PM.
Subsequently, Firefighters arrived on the scene to manage the emergency, aiming to access the affected transformer and extinguish the fire, thereby ensuring the safety of the vicinity.
