The Teatro La Fundición in Seville will host this emotional performance on May 14 and 15. The play, which starts at 8:30 PM on both days, aims to give voice to the women created by Lorca, exploring their experiences within a context of oppression and pre-established gender roles.
With an approximate duration of sixty minutes, Enlorquecidas delves into the lives of these women, marked by duty, societal expectations, and criticism. The piece addresses themes such as jealousy, judgment, and oppression, elements that drive the search for change towards understanding and female freedom.
“"Sheep in the fold and women inside their homes."
The cast of Enlorquecidas includes Anaisa García, Ángeles Rusó, Carmen Escudero, María Artigas, Magdalena Tejado, María Shez, and Marta Ocaña. Live music is provided by Guillermo Iniesta, with covers performed by Magdalena Tejado and Sarai Reyes.
Tickets for the play can be purchased through the theater's website. The general price is 16 euros, with reduced fare options ranging from 8 to 13 euros.
