Supermercados El Jamón and Eranovum have signed an agreement to install 38 electric vehicle charging points in 17 of their establishments across the provinces of Huelva, Seville, Cadiz, Cordoba, and Jaén, with the first stations expected to be operational this summer.

The Huelva-based supermarket chain, Supermercados El Jamón, has formalized a partnership with Eranovum, a company specializing in renewable energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, as part of its sustainability strategy. This strategic agreement involves the installation of 38 charging points in 17 of its supermarkets located in five Andalusian provinces, thereby enhancing access to electric mobility in the region.
The project, currently in its development phase, anticipates that the first electric charging stations will be operational by next summer. Following the completion of administrative procedures and construction, Eranovum will fully manage these facilities, which will supply 100% renewable energy, consistent with their integrated energy model.
The charging points will be distributed across 17 locations in the provinces of Huelva (Aljaraque, Nerva, Aracena, Paterna del Campo, and Isla Canela), Seville (Dos Hermanas, Tomares, Espartinas, Castilleja de la Cuesta, Lebrija, and Osuna), Cordoba (Palma del Río and Baena), Cadiz (Rota and Sanlúcar de Barrameda), and Jaén (two establishments in Linares). This deployment aims to bring charging closer to high-traffic areas, allowing users to charge their vehicles while doing their regular shopping.

"This agreement with Supermercados El Jamón reinforces our strategy to bring charging to places where people carry out their daily activities. Supermarkets are a key location to facilitate electric mobility, because they allow customers to use their shopping time to conveniently charge their vehicle with 100% renewable energy."

José Antonio Muriel, Head of the Operations Department at Grupo Empresarial El Jamón, emphasized that this collaboration is crucial for the electrification of their commercial network and the enhancement of customer experience. Both companies are already considering a second phase of project expansion, which could include more charging points and new locations in the future.
Andalusia, with its significant potential for electric vehicle growth, benefits from initiatives like this, which strengthen the necessary infrastructure for cleaner mobility. Eranovum, which already operates 187 charging points in the community, will add these 38 new ones, solidifying its presence in the region and nationally, where it has over 1,200 operational points.
