The operation, known as Maramucha and supported by Baena units, has successfully clarified a series of crimes committed in small towns. After an eight-month investigation, officers identified the group's modus operandi, which involved targeting establishments with low foot traffic and using force to gain entry.
In addition to the aforementioned provinces, the group's criminal activity extended to Castellon, Segovia, and Valladolid. According to official sources, the perpetrators stole cash and various valuables from the affected religious sites and commercial premises.
“"The investigation, carried out exhaustively, culminated in the arrest of two people and the investigation of a third for their alleged involvement in the events."
The final phase of the operation took place in Murcia, where two members were arrested. A third suspect was investigated while already being held at the Murcia I Penitentiary Center. The case files have been handed over to the Court of Instance Plaza No. 2 in Teruel, which has ordered the imprisonment of one of the detainees.
