The Spanish mobility company Cabify has initiated the registration process for taxi drivers in Jerez de la Frontera and El Puerto de Santa María, enabling them to operate through its application starting July 8th. The technological platform aims to share its technology with the region's taxi sector, offering a way to increase income and access complementary demand channels.
Interested taxi drivers can complete an online form where they must provide the required information. Cabify has assured that it will offer support and personalized advice throughout the process. Once applications are evaluated, the company will communicate its decision regarding the opening of the 'taxi' category in the area.
From Cabify, they emphasize that both the taxi and VTC sectors share the goal of more sustainable and efficient urban mobility. With this move, the company reinforces its collaboration with the taxi sector in Cádiz, replicating a model it already uses in other cities across Spain.
The company notes that thousands of taxi drivers connect daily to its app in various Spanish cities since 2019, reporting an increase in their income. According to an internal survey, half of the collaborating taxi drivers state they have increased their income by more than 25%, and 78% have improved their perception of Cabify.
