Following the conclusion of Holy Week, Seville's fraternities, particularly the Marian ones, continue their calendar of religious services and events. This weekend's agenda includes the transfer of the Simpecado de Sevilla Sur, which will depart for the Salvador church for a significant event.
On Friday, the brotherhood of Montserrat commemorates its 425th anniversary with a solemn mass at 7:45 PM, presided over by don Teodoro León Muñoz, auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Seville. Meanwhile, the Antigua brotherhood will hold a Vía Lucis Pascual at the Convento de Santa María de Jesús at 7:30 PM. The Divina Pastora de Triana will offer a devoted 'besamanos' (kissing of the hand) from 9:30 AM to 8:00 PM.
On Saturday, the Virgen del Prado will be the focus at the Colegial del Salvador with a service at 8:00 PM, officiated by rector don Pedro Juan de Dios Álvarez, followed by her veneration. The Araceli brotherhood will conduct a 'igualá de costaleros' (selection of bearers) at the Luises chapel at 12:30 PM. The Divina Pastora brotherhoods in Padre Pío and Triana will continue their 'besamanos' throughout the day, with a special greeting by Alicia Muñoz in Triana at 9:15 PM.
On Sunday, the Sacramental del Sagrario will hold its traditional procession for the infirm at 10:00 AM. The Rocío de Sevilla Sur will transfer its Simpecado to El Salvador, departing at 8:00 AM and arriving at 1:45 PM, including a visit to the Seville Cathedral. The Siete Palabras brotherhood will celebrate a solemn service to Nuestro Padre Jesús de la Divina Misericordia at 12:00 PM, preached by don Carlos Coloma Ruiz. The Hiniesta brotherhood will organize its Preferia from 1:00 PM, featuring food and performances. Finally, the Santa Cruz and San Hermenegildo brotherhoods will also hold main services in honor of their patrons.
