The city of Almería is celebrating the opening of its Midday Fair, an event set to fill the city center with the finest local cuisine and a festive atmosphere. Mayor María del Mar Vázquez highlighted that the renewed program aims to attract a broad audience, thereby boosting employment and activity in the hospitality and commercial sectors.
This year, the fair extends across five distinct locations: the Mirador de la Rambla, Plaza Virgen del Mar, Plaza Flores, Plaza Tomatito, and Plaza Pablo Cazard. Here, attendees can savor a variety of traditional Almerian dishes.
“"It will once again fill the city center with the best local gastronomy and a festive atmosphere that combines our traditions with a renewed program designed to attract the largest possible audience, which will undoubtedly generate employment and dynamism in the hospitality and commercial sector."
Among the culinary delights on offer are the traditional 'migas', an emblematic dish of Almería, as well as rice, wheat, freshly grilled sirloins, black pudding, and bacon, among other specialties of the region's gastronomy.
