The second event of the 2026 Albatros Circuit, held at Club Zaudín Golf in Seville, turned into a day of endurance for nearly 80 golfers due to strong winds and intense rain.

Last weekend, Club Zaudín Golf hosted one of the most demanding days on the Andalusian amateur calendar. Extreme weather conditions, with gusts of wind and heavy downpours, turned the second event of the 2026 Albatros Circuit into a significant challenge for the approximately 80 participants.
The event in Seville, which followed the debut in Almería, became a true battle against the elements. The course presented an unusual appearance for May, with weather that tested the physical and mental endurance of the golfers.
In this adverse scenario, a local golfer emerged victorious in the Scratch classification with a solid round of 26 gross points. His ability to manage the difficult morning conditions was key to his win, where simply finishing the course was considered a success.

"The weather absolutely conditioned the development of the tournament from the first holes. The wind especially punished the more open fairways of the Seville course and forced players to constantly reinvent their strategy."

Despite the tough course, the competitive spirit remained high. The day, reminiscent of classic British golf, highlighted the sacrifice capacity of all participants. A British golfer, who completed the course in shorts and a short-sleeved polo shirt without an umbrella, became one of the unexpected protagonists, achieving the closest mixed ball on hole 11.
In the First Category, another local golfer took the win with 35 points, demonstrating great consistency. In the Second Category, a player from Seville delivered one of the best scorecards of the day with 41 points, surpassing his competitors. Only five players managed to finish below their handicap par, underscoring the difficulty of the course.
The winners of this event, along with those from the first event in La Envía Golf (Almería), have secured their place for the grand final of the circuit, which will be held on November 1 in Playa Serena, Roquetas de Mar. The Albatros Circuit continues to consolidate itself as a benchmark for Andalusian amateur golf, combining competition, tourism, and sustainability, and featuring public figures as ambassadors.
