Aertec, a technology company based in Málaga, has announced a 15 million euro investment until 2028 to enhance its proprietary technology and expand its international footprint, marking a new strategic phase after the sale of its drone division.

The Andalusian company Aertec has unveiled its ambitious strategic plan for the 2026-2028 period, which includes a significant investment of 15 million euros. This expenditure is aimed at consolidating its internal technology and strengthening its position in global markets, particularly in the aerospace, airport, and defense sectors. This initiative follows the recent sale of its Tarsis drone division to Indra, which has propelled the company towards a business model more focused on high-tech services.
The announcement was made by Antonio Gómez-Guillamón, CEO and co-founder of Aertec, at an event held at Málaga TechPark. He was accompanied by Carolina España, Minister of Economy, Finance, European Funds and Social Dialogue of the Junta de Andalucía, underscoring institutional support for this growth strategy. The presentation took place during an official visit to the company's facilities, coinciding with their acquisition by the technopolis.

"We are in a phase of high value-added growth that responds to a defined and sustained strategy over time. We are committed to technological development and proprietary products as a differentiating element, strengthening industrialization capabilities in key areas of the aerospace and defense sectors."

Aertec's strategic plan projects an annual growth of 18%, with the goal of multiplying its investment and employment in Andalusia. Carolina España highlighted the importance of companies like Aertec for Andalusian leadership in strategic sectors, noting that “for every major Andalusian aerospace driving company, up to six local auxiliary companies are activated.”
The company is advancing in strategic areas such as aircraft electrification and the development of critical embedded systems for civil and military aircraft. In the defense sector, it specializes in precision-guided munitions, integrating technology developed in Andalusia with the collaboration of university research groups from the region.
Furthermore, Aertec will expand its activity in the airport segment, offering planning, design, and infrastructure consulting services globally. The goal is for international revenues from this area to represent 80% of the total by 2028. The company, with its main delegation in Málaga and an industrial part in Sevilla, aims to double its business volume in a second phase of the strategic plan, reinforcing its workforce with 200 highly qualified professionals. Currently, Aertec invests 8% of its annual business volume in R&D.
