The municipal delegate for Social Rights, Cristina Durán, announced the initiative, aimed at families who have participated for at least three months in the Program for Aid to Families with Children in 2026 and meet requirements set by Social Services. The goal is to provide basic material assistance and improve employability.
Families who have followed proposals to improve their employability will automatically become beneficiaries. "The key aspect of this program is that no registration is necessary. The list of beneficiary families comes directly from Social Services," insisted Durán.
The actions will include the provision of cards redeemable for food products and other basic material assistance items at local businesses. Social support measures will also be developed in collaboration with the Spanish Red Cross.
The cards will be automatically recharged monthly with an amount determined by the number of family members. Amounts will range from 130 euros for families with two members to 220 euros for those with five or more people. They will be valid until April 2027, with the possibility of a one-year extension.
