The donation includes personal protective equipment, rescue gear, and intervention tools, selected to improve the safety and operational capacity of Ukrainian firefighters in a high-demand environment. Manuel Marmolejo, Vice-President of the Provincial Council and President of CPB Málaga, highlighted the importance of Ukrainian professionals having the necessary equipment, especially in conflict zones, and underscored the Consortium's solidarity efforts.
The equipment will be transported to the fire station in Chugiv, located near the war front, where teams work under extreme risk conditions. The handover took place at the headquarters of the Maydan association, the entity coordinating the material's shipment to Ukraine.
Among the donated items are 15 jackets and trousers, 12 height rescue harnesses, 5 waterproof suits, 9 hearing protectors, a spelunking stretcher, an extraction board, various hand tools such as mallets, hoes, shovels, rakes, saws, a bow saw, and shears, in addition to specific material for electrical hazards and level 2 protection.
“"This initiative reinforces the commitment of the Provincial Consortium of Firefighters of Málaga to international cooperation and solidarity, support among fire services, and the defense of public service values."
