This 24-hour endurance event includes individual and team walking categories, mountain biking (MTB), and a children's race. Athletes are preparing for a challenge that will take them through the Serranía de Ronda, starting and finishing in the city of Ronda.
The route passes through towns such as Arriate, Alcalá del Valle, and Setenil de las Bodegas, the latter two located in the province of Cadiz, as well as Montejaque and Benaoján. The event is a well-established competition that brings together thousands of people, both participants and spectators, for a weekend of intense sporting activity.
The different modalities feature iconic checkpoints. The individual and team walks, for example, pass by the Plaza de Toros, Pilar de Coca, and the Iglesia de San Juan Letrán Arriate, among others. Meanwhile, the mountain bike route starts from the Ciudad Deportiva de Ronda and goes through the Iglesia de Santa María la Mayor and Puerto Bilbao, with both routes concluding at the Alameda del Tajo in Ronda.
Participants, who typically gather on Friday for a pre-race pasta dinner, will complete part of the journey during the night, adding an extra layer of difficulty and adventure to the experience. The race will conclude on Sunday morning, after a continuous 24-hour effort.
