Hinojosa del Duque presents the IX 24 Hours Route along the Mozarabic Way

Hinojosa del Duque is preparing to host the ninth edition of the 24 Hours Route along the Mozarabic Way, an event combining sport, nature, and tradition on October 17th and 18th.

The Hinojosa del Duque City Council has presented the IX 24 Hours Route along the Mozarabic Way, an emblematic hiking and sports event scheduled for October 17th and 18th, 2026. The initiative aims to boost the rural environment, highlight the region's natural and cultural heritage, and consolidate the Mozarabic Way's route through the municipality.
The presentation was attended by Mayor Matías González, Sports Councilor Enrique Tocados, Councilors María Dolores Aranda and Santiago Jesús Aranda, along with event organizers, including the president of the “Entre Hinojos” association, María Jesús Ramírez. The council's commitment to outdoor sports and the social cohesion generated by this event, which attracts participants from across the province, was emphasized.
Mayor Matías González highlighted the activity's importance in promoting healthy habits and fostering coexistence among participants, congratulating the organizing entity for its consistent annual efforts and predicting success for the edition.
For his part, Sports Councilor Enrique Tocados expressed the government team's satisfaction with the effort involved in organizing the event, thanking the organizers for their drive and assuring municipal support.
María Jesús Ramírez, president of the «Entre Hinojos» Association, conveyed the enthusiasm for this route, considering it one of the most significant for the club, and thanked the City Council for its collaboration.
The route will feature several stages designed for different skill levels, connecting points along the Mozarabic Way: Córdoba – El Vacar (30 km), El Vacar – Calatraveño (30 km), Calatraveño – Hinojosa del Duque (42 km), Calatraveño – Alcaracejos (19 km), Alcaracejos – Villanueva del Duque – Hinojosa del Duque (19 km), and Fuente la Lancha – Hinojosa del Duque (12 km).
Participation is strictly limited to 55 people per stage. The registration fee is 18 euros for members and 25 euros for non-members. Registrations made before September 25th will guarantee the reservation of the official event t-shirt and socks in the requested size.
