With the imminent opening of the second phase of the Tajo Gorge Path, the delegate for Tourism of the Ronda City Council, Ángel Martínez, has presented the new signage. These indicators, to be located throughout the streets of the Historical Complex, will direct visitors to the path's entrance.
Martínez, head of the municipal company Turismo de Ronda S.A., indicated that a signage plan using rustic clay tiles has been implemented. The signs are artisanal pieces crafted by the local workshop of Uta Gruber and have received approval from the Historical Heritage Commission. "It's a 100% Ronda tile for 100% Ronda signage, for the Tajo, which is the most Ronda thing there is," stated Martínez.
The municipal Tourism official also reported on traffic reorganization efforts, coordinated with the Local Police, to facilitate transit around the Ermita de San Miguel, the monument's starting point. The aim is to manage tourist flows and minimize inconvenience to local residents.
Additionally, work is nearing completion on the old hermitage, which will serve as an auxiliary Tourism office. The restrooms have been finished, and carpentry work is underway for the counters of the future shop.
