Traffic is currently interrupted on a section of Armiñán street, up to Abul Beka square, due to the installation of a structure to secure a building's facade, costing nearly €78,000.
In this specific case, the City Council is acting subsidiarily because the property owner left no heirs and the ownership is undetermined. The municipal administration is covering the economic cost while legal proceedings determine the property's status.
The Urban Planning department has identified nearly ten properties in this situation and inventoried 51 in poor condition throughout Ronda, with thirty located in the historic center. Of these, 16 present a serious risk, 14 medium, and 21 low. The Councilor for Urban Planning, Jesús Vázquez, stated that interventions have already been made in 30 properties through ruin declarations, coercive fines, owner requisitions, and subsidiary works.
Other actions include securing elements of a property on Tenorio street (around €5,500), demolition in Espíritu Santo street (approximately €38,000), and on Cuesta de Santo Domingo (about €15,000) due to fall risk following recent storm damage.
The works on Armiñán street will affect traffic until 3:00 PM this Friday. Residents will have access to Tenorio street and Cuesta de Santo Domingo from Plaza de España, and access to Plaza Duquesa de Parcent and Plaza Abul Beka will be permitted from the San Francisco neighborhood.
Regarding public transport, Line 2 of the city bus will alter its route, with free transfers to Line 1 available at the Hospital to connect with the city center.
