The campaign, conducted by the municipal cleaning company Soliarsa in collaboration with the Provincial Consortium of Urban Solid Waste of the Diputación de Málaga, focuses on sanitizing the side-loading containers. These are collected once empty for washing and disinfection in a specialized truck using specific products.
María del Carmen Martínez explained that these tasks will be carried out this week and next, aiming to eliminate the characteristic odors of the summer months and maintain waste collection points in optimal condition. This initiative is part of Soliarsa's regular maintenance plan.
In parallel, Soliarsa staff continue with the routine cleaning of rear-loading containers (grey, black, and some green ones). The primary goal of all these actions is to ensure the highest possible hygiene standards and reduce odor-related nuisances for residents and businesses near the collection points.
