The closing event of European Mobility Week in Vícar took place on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 22nd, gathering dozens of people at the Bulevar Ciudad de Vícar. The event aimed to promote more sustainable mobility and active travel through various activities.
The program featured traditional games, a karting circuit, craft workshops, dance and Zumba classes, and a lively march with animated characters. These activities are part of the municipal initiative that has been celebrated since September 16th.
“"We promote active participation in European Mobility Week by encouraging a healthier, more accessible, safer lifestyle that invites enjoyment of the urban landscape."
In the preceding days, two other initiatives were held: a drawing contest for students in the municipality's schools, focusing on children's visions of mobility in Vícar, and a gymkhana. The latter challenged residents to find at least 10 themed images, out of over 100 hidden, throughout the Bulevar Ciudad de Vícar.
The City Council of Vícar, with two decades of experience in Road Safety Education programs and training, promotes these sustainable and safe travel methods, aiming to reach all segments of the population and encourage healthier lifestyles.
