The technical staff of the ERACIS+ program at the Ayuntamiento de Vícar (Vícar City Council) received a visit last week from the new provincial reference technician from the Territorial Delegation of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families, and Equality of Almería. Upon arrival, the technician familiarized herself with the different workspaces of the staff, divided between the Community Social Services Centers of Puebla de Vícar and Gangosa. Following this, the official presentation of the local entity's technical team took place.
As part of the meeting, which also included the program's new psychologist, a car tour was conducted to show the technician the diversity and particularities of the ERACIS+ Zone of Vícar. This guided tour was supported by a virtual street map created at the project's inception.
The route included stops at the headquarters of the municipality's third-sector entities, such as Innova Almería, Engloba, Inserta Andalucía, Humanitarios Sin Fronteras, Codenaf, and Protegidas. These visits allowed for a deeper understanding of the projects' development and execution status, as well as meeting the staff involved from each entity.
Finally, the program coordinator and the provincial technician held a working session to review the project's progress, resolve pending issues, and define the next steps.
The ERACIS+ team expressed gratitude to the provincial technician for her collaboration and interest in understanding the area, entities, and the Vícar project on the ground. The importance of such visits was highlighted for comprehending the diversity of the province's territories and for consolidating information and tools to continue improving and providing the best support to the program's beneficiaries.
This action is part of the Local Social Inclusion Plan created by the Ayuntamiento de Vícar to participate in the Andalusian Regional Strategy for Social Cohesion and Inclusion, ERACIS+, co-financed by the European Union and the Junta de Andalucía.
