The appointment, coinciding with the association's twenty-fifth anniversary, was attended by the Deputy Mayor for Social Affairs, Zuleica Molina, who congratulated the association's president, Javier de Cózar, on this recognition. Molina highlighted the collective's "human, social, and solidarity quality."
Also present at the event was Ángel Corbalán, chancellor of the foundation and president of Mayor.Net, who accompanied the municipal representative.

The Mil Milenios de Paz Foundation is an international entity dedicated to establishing a global culture of peace, promoting awareness and education through actions that foster peace and unity.
The foundation considers the Campo de Gibraltar association a benchmark for its social commitment and the work it carries out in favor of inclusion, specialized care, and support for people affected by multiple sclerosis.
