The Local Police of El Ejido has enhanced its equipment with the acquisition of two all-terrain pickup trucks, specifically outfitted to respond to emergencies such as floods, strong gales, or fires. These vehicles complement an already equipped Civil Protection all-terrain vehicle, ensuring coordinated action.
Mayor Julia Ibáñez, alongside Chief Superintendent Marco Muñoz, inspected the new vehicles, emphasizing the importance of providing officers with the best resources for effective and safe operations. The total investment for the acquisition and equipping of these three vehicles exceeds 114,000 euros.
The three all-terrain vehicles are equipped with advanced technical gear, including winches, snorkels, autonomous electric generators, power saws, slings, Halligan tools, fire beaters, intervention axes, hydraulic jacks, and flashlights. During August and until September 6th, these vehicles will also serve as part of the El Ejido Beach Plan.
This acquisition is part of a comprehensive renewal of material resources for the El Ejido Local Police over the past year, which has included the incorporation of seven new patrol and unmarked vehicles, as well as new technological equipment such as metal detectors, Taser devices, defibrillators, bulletproof and anti-puncture vests, and a state-of-the-art drone.
