The draw took place last Monday, April 20, during an Extraordinary Municipal Plenary Session, selecting board members from the 48,356 eligible voters in the municipality. This process is crucial to ensure the proper conduct of the regional elections.
Using a computer-based procedure, the components of the 84 electoral boards, distributed across 28 polling stations, were determined. In total, 252 main members and 504 substitute members have been appointed, who will be responsible for overseeing the transparency of the democratic process on May 17, 2026.
The selected citizens will receive official notification at their homes in the coming days, along with an instruction manual and all necessary information to perform their duties. Additionally, 474 electors will exercise their right to vote for the first time in these elections.
