This new municipal infrastructure aims to provide a safe environment for animals while fostering interaction and community among their owners. The project is part of local policies aimed at improving the quality of life for both residents and their pets.
The local government has appealed to users' responsibility to ensure the maintenance and preservation of the facility. Furthermore, the council confirmed that two awareness campaigns will begin in September: one focused on preventing animal abandonment and another on the proper collection of waste in public spaces.
Regarding animal protection, the municipality continues to operate the CER method for the ethical control of feline colonies, a task carried out in collaboration with local veterinarians and the Official College of Veterinarians of Almeria.
