This initiative, part of the ‘Sport and Equality Project’ by the Diputación de Almería and led by the A Toda Vela association, received technical and federative support from the Royal Andalusian Football Federation (RFAF). The round took place simultaneously in three locations across the province: La Mojonera, Viator, and Vera, allowing for broader geographical coverage.
The results of this gathering reflect the constant growth of the competition, with a total of 17 matches played and the participation of 17 teams. The organization has expressed its gratitude for the commitment of the teams, as well as for the fundamental collaboration of the host municipalities and private sponsors.
“"Thanks to this joint effort, the project manages to break down social and physical barriers, featuring footballers with and without disabilities, with and without mental health issues, of different ages, identities, football levels, and social situations, in a clear commitment to sport as a tool for coexistence, equality, and respect."
Previous rounds were held on March 13 in Adra, Benahadux, and Níjar, and on March 27 in Dalías, Pechina, and Albox. The next event, the fourth on the calendar, is scheduled for May 8, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, in El Ejido, the facilities of the University of Almería, and Olula del Río. The league will culminate on May 29 in Macael, where the grand final will be held.
