This initiative by the Adra Consistory aims to optimize waste management and encourage recycling among citizens. The new devices have been allocated to key areas such as La Curva, Guainos, Puente del Río, and La Alquería, as well as the Barrio de Adra, including Plaza de Andalucía and Cuesta del Calvario.
“"This acquisition aims for the continuous improvement of the service and a cleaner and more sustainable city, also facilitating recycling for residents in their daily lives."
The Urban Cleaning Councillor, Patricia Berenguel, along with the spokesperson for the Government team, José Crespo, emphasized the importance of this measure to move towards a more efficient and environmentally friendly waste management model. Thirty side-loading containers for MSW, with a capacity of 2400 liters, have been incorporated, designed to modernize the current fleet and offer a more hygienic and practical service.
Additionally, 16 specific containers for paper and cardboard collection, with a capacity of 3000 liters, have been acquired. These latter ones include accessibility features for people with functional diversity and adapted signage, ensuring their resistance and durability. Both actions will be complemented by citizen awareness campaigns to promote responsible cleaning and recycling habits, reinforcing the Adra City Council's commitment to a cleaner and more sustainable urban environment.
