The C2 line of the Málaga commuter train will have its regular service to Álora and El Caminito del Rey interrupted between May 22nd and June 8th. Track improvement works will necessitate the operator establishing an alternative plan for passengers.
To mitigate inconveniences, Renfe will provide a bus service connecting the municipalities of Cártama and Álora by road in both directions. The early morning services on June 9th on the C2 line will also be affected by this plan.
Furthermore, Renfe has announced the launch of 384 bus services to ensure mobility for passengers of the Sevilla-Málaga medium-distance trains, which are also impacted by infrastructure improvement works from May 22nd to June 8th.
An alternative transport plan with buses has been scheduled between Antequera Santa Ana and Málaga, including intermediate stops. Two trains departing from Sevilla on May 21st and two departing from Málaga on June 9th will require transfers.
During this alternative transport plan, Bobadilla and El Chorro Caminito del Rey stations will be served by taxis with special routes depending on the journey's origin and destination. It is necessary to purchase or formalize tickets before travel, and changes and refunds without cost have been enabled as a post-sale measure.
