What was initially believed to be a burst water pipe on Doña Street in Málaga was ultimately identified as an issue with a recent installation. Sources close to the situation confirmed that the leak did not stem from a structural failure in the main infrastructure but from a dislodged tube installed the previous day.
The incident was reported around 10:40 PM on April 20, when the pipe shifted for reasons still under investigation, causing water to escape. Upon detection of the leak, the water supply was cut off to contain the flow and prevent further damage in the area.
Members of the Local Police responded to the scene, as reported by the 112 emergency service. Technicians are currently reviewing the installation to determine the exact cause of the failure and ensure its proper functioning. This event, though striking, has been classified as an isolated incident related to recent work rather than a major supply network breakdown.
This event follows a significant pipe burst in the Victoria neighborhood last month, which led to considerable traffic restrictions. The current incident in Segalerva, however, appears to be of a lesser scale.
