The General Directorate of Traffic has reported traffic complications this Friday afternoon, particularly on the highways accessing France, such as the AP-7 in La Junquera (Girona) and the AP-8 in Irún (Gipuzkoa), which are experiencing congestion heading towards the neighboring country.
In the Valencian Community and Andalusia, several accidents have complicated traffic. On the A-7 near Godella (Valencia), traffic is affected in the direction of Castellón de la Plana. In Alicante, the A-70 shows increased traffic in both directions. In Granada, the A-92 at kilometer point 249 near Alfacar has its left lane closed, heading towards Seville.
Other roads are also experiencing incidents. On the A-6, drivers will encounter traffic jams passing through Arévalo (Ávila) in both directions. In Valencia, the A-3 near Requena and Siete Aguas is experiencing increased traffic towards Madrid.
In Málaga, specifically in San Pedro de Alcántara, the A-7 is congested in the direction of Gibraltar. A similar situation is occurring in Tenerife, on the TF-1 near Los Cristianos and Guaza, heading towards Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
This special traffic operation, activated from 3:00 PM this Friday, will extend throughout the weekend. An estimated 5.6 million journeys are expected, coinciding with the mid-month travel and patron saint festivals in numerous Spanish towns.
