The University of Malaga has confirmed the preparation of random tests using artificial intelligence detectors to minimize the chances of fraud during the 2026 Selectividad. Rector Teodomiro López assured that the institution is "prepared, available, and in a position" to conduct these checks, aiming not to disrupt the students' peace of mind.
Students, facing exams in Spanish Language and Literature, History of Spain or Philosophy, and Foreign Language, shared diverse feelings after the first day. Some expressed relief as initial nerves subsided, while others noted the atmosphere felt similar to a high school exam, with measures like transparent pens and phones put away, but no radio frequency detectors visible so far.
Students such as Ángel Santana, Alejandro Ferrer, Samuel Fernández, Mar, Jorge, Elena Herrera, Laura, and Elena shared their experiences and expectations. Opinions on the difficulty of the literature exams varied, with some finding the texts accessible and others regretting the appearance of less expected topics. Academic aspirations include degrees such as Law, Chemistry, European Transcultural Studies, Pharmacy, Graphic Design, Finance and Accounting, and Business Administration.
The examination period, which will extend until next Thursday, includes elective subject exams starting Wednesday. The Selectividad results will be available on June 11th from 10:00 AM, marking the end of a crucial process for the academic future of thousands of young people in Malaga.
