The organizers of Comic-Con Málaga 2026 have announced the participation of Richard Dean Anderson, the American actor and producer who portrayed the iconic character of MacGyver in the 80s and 90s. His presence is expected to be one of the main attractions of the event, which will bring together various personalities from the entertainment world.

In addition to his role as MacGyver, a character known for his ingenuity and ability to solve problems with limited resources, Anderson is also recognized for his portrayal of Colonel Jack O’Neill in the series Stargate SG-1. His television career began with his role as Dr. Jeff Webber in General Hospital.
The guest list for Comic-Con Málaga 2026, which will take place from October 1 to 4, includes other prominent figures. Among them are Kristian Nairn, who played Hodor in Game of Thrones, and actors Sean Astin and Elijah Wood, known for their roles as Sam and Frodo in The Lord of the Rings. Iñaki Godoy, the actor who plays Luffy in Netflix's One Piece series, will also attend.
The event will also feature actor and producer Michael Rooker, famous for his role as Merle Dixon in The Walking Dead and for portraying Yondu Udonta in Guardians of the Galaxy. From the comic world, screenwriter and director Kevin Smith and artist John Romita Jr. will participate.
This will be the second consecutive edition of Comic-Con Málaga, which will again be held at Fycma. As a novelty, the event space will be expanded by 9,000 square meters, including the construction of a new 1,200 square meter pavilion to enhance the experience for artists in the Artists' Alley. The area dedicated to video games, the Gaming Plaza, will also change its location.
