Renfe has reinforced its commuter rail services to facilitate travel during the Málaga Fair, taking place from August 15th to 23rd. The company will offer more than 59,300 additional seats, representing an 8.7% increase compared to the regular service.
In total, 1,214 trains will operate during the festive period, providing over 734,000 seats. On the Málaga-Fuengirola C-1 Line, in addition to the usual services, special trains will run originating from Victoria Kent at 5:00 AM and 5:40 AM, and departures from Málaga at night between 9:30 PM and 0:10 AM, with frequencies every 20 minutes. Conversely, from Fuengirola, night departures will run between 10:20 PM and 1:00 AM, also every 20 minutes.
For the Málaga-Álora C-2 Line, a special train has been scheduled departing from Málaga at 11:40 PM and heading to Álora, operating from August 15th to 22nd. Additionally, on August 15th, 16th, 22nd, and 23rd, special trains that normally only run on weekdays will operate, departing from Málaga at 5:44 AM and returning from Álora at 6:37 AM.
The use of commuter trains is promoted as an environmentally friendly collective transport option, powered by 100% renewable energy, which also helps to avoid urban congestion and reduce accidents, emissions, and noise.
