Málaga CF's midfielder, Ramón Enríquez, has expressed his deep desire to achieve promotion to the First Division, a goal he considers a dream fulfilled since he first arrived in Málaga at the age of 12. The player emphasized the importance of maintaining composure and focusing on each match to reach this historic objective.
Enríquez conveyed satisfaction with his personal performance and the team's playing style, noting that their shared practice since childhood has forged a solid identity. "If we are fortunate enough to keep the core group together, we will develop an identity with that style of play. We will build a personality that can bring us good things," he stated.
Regarding the upcoming match against Racing Club, currently leading the league, the captain showed a mix of ambition and respect: "We are aware that they are the best team in the category, and we want to beat them and prove that we can be the team fighting for such beautiful things." He added that if the opposing club deems it appropriate, they would have no problem giving them a guard of honor for their already secured promotion.
The player also highlighted the importance of collective commitment over individual gain, mentioning teammates such as Darko Brasanac, Dani Sánchez, Lobete, and Eneko. "The great thing about this team is that this unity has been maintained at all times," he commented, attributing some of the success to their youth and the mentality of taking things "day by day."
Finally, Enríquez offered words of support for his teammate Luismi, whose personal situation is challenging. "It hurts us a lot. All the fans should show him that affection because he is an exemplary player and a true professional," he concluded.
