The Por Andalucía coalition has officially presented its candidacy for the Andalusian elections in the province of Málaga, with Ernesto Alba (IU) as the leading candidate, advocating for political change in the Junta de Andalucía.
The presentation of Por Andalucía's Málaga list took place this Saturday, emphasizing their commitment to initiating a new political cycle in the Junta de Andalucía. The coalition expressed its intention to end the «Bonilla method», which they attribute to speculation, the deterioration of public services, and territorial inequality in the region.
The diverse candidacy reaffirmed its governmental aspirations and its readiness to lead significant change in the community. It called on citizens to mobilize and usher in a new era that prioritizes public services and people's well-being. The Por Andalucía coalition in Málaga is composed of various political groups, including Izquierda Unida, Podemos, Movimiento Sumar, Iniciativa del Pueblo Andaluz, Verdes Equo, Alternativa Republicana, and Alianza Verde.
“
"Por Andalucía is the useful ballot to oust speculators and pave the way for change."
Ernesto Alba, from Izquierda Unida, highlighted that the formation presents a diverse candidacy, made up of individuals with a long history of activism and a strong commitment to the province of Málaga. He criticized the current government's management, stating that «the province of Málaga, our people, cannot endure another four years of Moreno's government».
“
"Moreno has sold the idea that Málaga is thriving under his government, but the reality is that he has sold Málaga and its province. It's something you feel in the streets, in our neighborhoods, in our towns; they are replacing residents with tourists, homes with hotels, and small businesses with franchises."
Meanwhile, Micaela Jiménez (Podemos), the second candidate on the list, expressed her great responsibility and satisfaction in being part of a team of «daily fighters, for the good of everyone and so that no one is left behind». The party emphasized that the first eight positions on the list, which include representatives from the various constituent organizations, feature profiles with solid social, feminist, ecological backgrounds, and advocates for housing rights and public services. These include Gonzalo Felipe Serrano (Verdes Equo), Victoria Morales (IU), Juan Miguel Acejo (Alternativa Republicana), Adriana Fernández (Movimiento Sumar), Adrián García Abenza (Alianza Verde), and María José Torres (Iniciativa del Pueblo Andaluz).
