This event, part of the 'Neurological Thursdays' series, aims to provide an integrated view of major degenerative neurological diseases. Participants will update their knowledge on the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of movement disorder deterioration, and enhance their clinical decision-making based on evidence and functional assessment.
The session will take place from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Convention and Events Center of the Málaga College of Physicians, located at Curtidores, 1. The program includes topics such as the epidemiology, socioeconomic impact, and classification of headaches, the diagnostic approach and clinical management of migraine, its pathophysiology, diagnostic and differential criteria, and complementary tests.
Furthermore, the workshop will cover lifestyle recommendations, management of comorbidities like mood disorders, sleep disturbances, dizziness, vertigo, vascular risk, and obesity. Therapeutic strategies for migraine will be presented, including symptomatic treatments (NSAIDs, triptans, gepants, ditans, non-invasive neuromodulation) and preventive treatments, both community-dispensed and hospital-dispensed (botulinum toxin A, anesthetic blocks, anti-CGRP monoclonal antibodies, gepants).
Registration is free and funded by Commálaga. Accreditation has been requested from the Andalusian Health Quality Agency (ACSA). Interested individuals can register through the Commálaga App or the college's Ventanilla Única.
