The province of Málaga experienced the fourth heatwave of the summer this Saturday, particularly affecting the regions of Antequera and the Serranía de Ronda, which activated orange and yellow alerts respectively. The highest temperatures were recorded in these areas.
Specifically, Fuente de Piedra reached 41.9º, a notably higher figure than the 27.7º recorded in Marbella. Other municipalities such as Cortes de la Frontera and Ronda exceeded 39.9º, closely followed by Álora (39.5º) and Alpandeire (39.3º). In the capital, maximum temperatures ranged between 30º and 32º.
For this Sunday, heat warnings are shifting to the coast, affecting the western coastline, the capital, and La Axarquía with a yellow alert. The Guadalhorce Valley will also be on alert. The arrival of the terral wind, a warm wind, is expected to raise maximum temperatures inland to around 40º.
Forecasts for Monday maintain yellow alerts for the Sol and Guadalhorce areas, with the terral wind persisting throughout the day.
