Voting for the 2026 Andalusian Elections has commenced in the province of Málaga with complete normality. The 599 polling stations, distributed across 103 municipalities, opened their doors punctually at 9:00 AM. A warm day is expected, with temperatures potentially reaching 25 degrees Celsius.
A total of 1,772 electoral tables, staffed by 5,316 members, are set up for the 1,284,154 residents of Málaga called to vote to exercise their right. This figure represents a 4.8% increase compared to the 2022 elections. Citizens have until 8:00 PM to cast their ballot.

To ensure security and the normal development of the democratic process, an operation involving 2,446 agents from the State Security Forces has been deployed, including the National Police and the Civil Guard, with support from the Unit Attached to the Junta de Andalucía and Local Police.
In the province of Málaga, 17 deputies are being elected for the Andalusian Parliament. A total of 17 candidacies are competing for these seats. An absolute majority requires 55 seats to govern the autonomous community.
