This edition, marking the 15th anniversary of the program, will see the participation of 67 boys and 40 girls aged between 9 and 18. The swimmers, representing 30 clubs from across Spain, will compete in alevin, infant, and youth categories.
The competition employs a multi-disability system that allows young people with various physical, intellectual, visual, or cerebral palsy impairments to compete under the same technical criteria. The goal is to determine the winner based on proximity to world records for each sport class.
The success of the training model is reflected in the figures accumulated over fifteen years: 59 swimmers have been part of the team, securing 20 Paralympic medals. The presence of these athletes in the national team has grown progressively, reaching nearly 60% representation in the latest Paralympic Games.
