Renowned Malaga-born chef José Carlos García, holder of a Michelin star, has announced his imminent move from Muelle Uno to the historic Café de París, marking an emotional return to his roots.

After several years leading his restaurant at Muelle Uno, chef José Carlos García is embarking on a new professional chapter, returning to Café de París. This establishment is located in Malaga's historic center, near Velez Malaga street, and represents a significant homecoming for the chef, who began his successful career at this very venue.
García has expressed his enthusiasm for returning to what he considers his 'home' and 'neighborhood,' highlighting the strong personal and professional connection he has with Café de París. "We are super happy to return to Café París, where it all began," stated the chef, emphasizing the importance of this return for his career.

The opening of the new Café de París does not yet have a firm date, although the inauguration is expected to take place before the end of the year, coinciding with the restaurant's 15th anniversary at its current location. The new space will be smaller, aiming to create a more intimate and familiar atmosphere with a closer relationship between the chef and diners.
The gastronomic offering will also undergo changes. García plans to reintroduce a more flexible menu, combining options for local customers with culinary experiences for visitors. Traditional Malaga dishes such as ajoblanco, gazpachuelo, and ensalada malagueña will be revived, reinterpreted from a contemporary perspective while respecting their origins.
Before his definitive farewell to Muelle Uno at the end of August, the restaurant will offer a special tasting menu featuring the most emblematic dishes from its 15 years by the sea. "We have been cooking by the sea for 15 years. Until the end of August, we will serve our signature dishes, the ones that brought us success," the chef noted.
