Personnel from the Forest Fire Extinction Service, Plan Infoca, have managed to control a fire that broke out this Saturday in the Arroyo Sijuela area, within the municipality of Ronda.
Information published by the service itself on its social media indicates that, around 2:10 PM, the fire was active in the area. To contain it, two groups of forest firefighters, two operations technicians, and two helicopters, one light and one semi-heavy, were deployed.
Shortly after 6:00 PM, the body belonging to the Andalusian Agency for Emergencies reported that the fire was under control. This means it does not have active fronts allowing the flames to spread freely, although work continues in the area for its definitive extinction.
