The operation, which began early in the morning, transformed the daily routine of residents, who awoke to sirens, checkpoints, and an unusual police presence. The intervention extended across various areas of Trinidad, a neighborhood that has experienced growing unease due to repeated firearm incidents in recent weeks.
As a result of this action, twelve arrests have been made, over twenty searches conducted, and several weapons seized. The operation involved agents from the Provincial Judicial Police Brigade of Málaga's Provincial Police Station, intervention units, and additional personnel deployed to reinforce the effort.
The scale of the intervention suggests a deeper investigation aimed at clarifying the perpetrators of the shootings, determining possible connections between the different episodes, and identifying the presence of weapons held by groups established in the area. The National Police continues its investigations, and further actions are not ruled out as searches and analysis of seized material progress.
The most recent incident occurred on Thursday, April 16, when several calls to 112 reported detonations on Carbonero Street, in the Trinidad area. This event, which according to reports may have involved several individuals, prompted a new police mobilization in this sensitive district, which is now a focal point for authorities.
