The artist, known for his connection to his hometown, has organized a promotion that will run for the next week across various municipal markets and businesses, particularly in the Centro district. This campaign aims to encourage local shopping and reward consumers.
Participants can enter raffles for double tickets to El Kanka's upcoming concerts at the Teatro Cervantes, as well as a gift basket valued at 100 euros and other surprises. The initiative is taking place in markets such as Huelin, El Carmen, Salamanca, El Palo, and Bailén, in addition to the municipal platform yocomproenmalaga.com, in collaboration with the Malaga City Council.
El Kanka expressed his deep love for Malaga, emphasizing the importance of supporting small businesses and local shopping. "I hope this love affair continues until I die," he stated during the presentation at the Mercado de Huelin.
“"I think the world is becoming a bit of a strange place, and I think it's cool to support small businesses, local shopping."
The delegate councilor for Commerce, Elisa Pérez de Siles, praised the initiative, highlighting the artist's naturalness and approachability, and his goal for cultural events to have a tangible impact on the local economy.
The #6veceselkanka campaign also includes a themed route through bars and shops, urban decoration with vinyls and song lyrics in the markets, and an 'open mic' session on June 6th and 13th at the Bailén market, where emerging artists can perform their versions of El Kanka's songs.
Furthermore, a route has been organized through over 40 participating shops and bars in the historic center, identified by the sign 'Aquí suena El Kanka' (Here El Kanka plays). Those who make a purchase or consume something will receive a passport with stickers, and those who collect 12 by June 15th will receive gifts.
