The specialist, with over 30 years of experience and a doctorate from the Complutense University of Madrid, has communicated his decision to the center's management. His resignation marks the end of a period leading one of the Andalusian healthcare system's reference gynecological areas, combining medical care, training, and research.
During his tenure in Málaga, he led teams focused on high-risk obstetrics, gynecological oncology, and advanced gynecological surgery, notably promoting less invasive techniques and improving surgical processes. He has also been actively involved in teaching and has an extensive research background in women's health.
The departure of the service's head concludes a leadership phase that also promoted training programs for professionals and projects aimed at enhancing the area's care quality.
Personal reasons and those related to the lack of resources are the reasons that have led to his resignation.
