The city of Ronda has successfully celebrated the Feria y Fiestas de Pedro Romero, solidifying its position as one of the most important events in the locality, alongside the Semana Santa. The mayor, Mari Paz Fernández, along with the Councilor for Tourism, Ángel Martínez, presented a positive assessment of the festival, held from September 2nd to 6th.
One of the notable novelties was the full return of the bullfighting schedule at the bullring, including the Corrida Goyesca, Rejones, Novillada, and Enganches. This comeback was made possible by the completion of renovation works on the arena by the Real Maestranza de Caballería de Ronda (RMR).
Fernández described Ronda as "a unique city in the world" and emphasized that "the impact of the Feria also extends throughout the rest of the year." Hotel occupancy rates, which reached 100% on the weekend, exceeded expectations, calling the week "important for Ronda" and highlighting that "the recovery of the Goyesca and the other festivities have made Ronda shine again with splendor," positioning it as an "epicenter in Andalusia and Spain."
The mayor expressed her gratitude to all involved entities: municipal departments, the Fiestas department, the Ronda Peñas Association (ASOPE), the company organizing the bullfighting events, the RMR, the Royal Club of Andalusian Harnesses (RCEA), security forces, media, Civil Protection, and the cleaning company.
In addition to the tourist impact, other figures were highlighted: nearly 30,000 people visited the Mirador de Aldehuela during the Feria. The Camino del Desfiladero de Tajo saw a 16% increase in visits compared to the previous year and a 32% increase compared to 2024. Fernández concluded by stating that "we continue to work to enhance our Feria and, therefore, the name of Ronda and its people."
