The 'Brisa en tu Barrio 2026' initiative returns this summer to bring live music and emerging talent to various locations across Málaga. This series, part of the Brisa Festival universe, aims to connect new artists with squares, parks, and open spaces throughout the city, complementing the major annual concerts held at the port.
After receiving over 300 applications, the festival has curated a diverse lineup featuring genres such as indie-rock, punk-pop, folk, melodic trap, garage, and surf-pop. Each event will run from 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM, showcasing consecutive performances by local bands and DJs.
The first event will take place on Saturday, June 20, at Playa Virginia in El Palo, featuring performances by Calle Victoria (alternative indie-rock), Childish (punk-pop), and Lavanda (intimate rock).
On Saturday, June 27, the music moves to Parque San Miguel in Las Flores, with Hannan Heredia (urban pop and experimentation), El Lere (scoundrel rock), and Bonaerense (pop-punk with Argentine influences).
In July, on Saturday, July 4, the Auditorio Manolo Doña in Ciudad Jardín will host Coco Green (surf-pop), Gran Premio (psychedelic indie), and Señor Torrance (pop).
On Thursday, July 11, Parque de la Higuereta in Churriana will be the venue for Ella Ray (Anglo-Saxon folk), Surf-a-tómica (energetic instrumental), and Parasidney (relaxed style).
The series will conclude on Thursday, July 18, at Tabacalera, in the Huelin-Carretera de Cádiz district, featuring Reyes Santa (melodic trap), Rayo Verde (garage), and Amante Laffón (indie rock).
In addition to this neighborhood program, Brisa Festival is launching Brisa Sessions this year, a series of free concerts at Muelle Uno between June and September, with artists such as Benzú, Terral, and Mapa.
